Universal Free School Meals

All children in Year R, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a school lunch, free of charge, under the government Universal Free School Meals scheme.

Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 may able be entitled to a free school lunch if you are in receipt of certain benefits.

Registering for the entitlement for a free school meal is very important, even if you do not intend to take it up. All schools receive an amount of money for each child that is registered for 'free school meals'. This money is received by the school for each year that a child is entitled to a free lunch and for an additional 6 years should this entitlement stop.
