We are very fortunate at our school to have a Parent, Teacher and Friends Association; we are a new association formed only this year.  Previous to this the fundraising was completed by the school. 

We are a lively group of volunteers made up of parents, teachers and friends of the school and our main function is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve the learning experiences for all of our children.

We also exist to bring the communities of school and home closer together because it makes sense for parents and friends to be involved in the life of their chosen school.

Lastly, we’re here for the simple reason that we want to get together socially, meet new people and have fun – it isn’t all just about fundraising!

The PTFA Committee & Meetings

Our committee consists of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. We are always looking for willing volunteers to learn the ropes and take on roles in the future.

We are a new association and aim to meet at least once per half-term.  All meetings will be advertised in the main reception window and on the PTFA page of the website.  All minutes will also be posted on our website page.

We will hold an AGM once a year and this will provide an opportunity for you to hear about the work we do, the activities we run, the funds we have raised and how the money has been spent.  It is also where we will elect the committee for the coming year.

All meetings are open, and any member can come along to find out what the PTFA is planning, share ideas and get involved – we would love to see you!

How we raise money

We plan to put on events throughout the year; some of these will be for the children, such as School Discos, but we will also be planning events that the whole family can enjoy, such as Happy's Circus, Colour Runs, Silent Fireworks, Outdoor Cinema and Quiz nights etc. so look out for news!

Donations from you, whether that be your time, money, cakes, raffle prizes etc. are critical in making these events a success – we could not do it without your help!
